Graduate Advantage Graduate Advantage is an initiative which aims to help individual businesses whilst strengthening the economic base of the local region. As part of this they offer the Graduate Employment and Training Programme (GET). GET is suitable for those who are looking to expand their team and want to experience the benefits that a graduate can bring to their business. The graduate must be employed for a minimum of six months to qualify for GET. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships - KTP If you have a innovative project that would help your business acheive its mid-term to long-term stategic plan then a KTP associate could be the way forward. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are government funded placement programmes which are a cost effective way of carrying out structured research and development for an innovative idea that is of strategic importance to the company. It includes full-time recruitment of a graduate plus regular contact with University specialists through out the programme. The project must be at least 12 months long, with the maximum length being 3 years. The cost to a company for a 12 month KTP programme (if the company is a small or medium sized enterprise) is approximately £19,000.
